Carol Paterson began her career in 2000, raising capital for hedge funds in London. She has worked for some of the largest hedge fund managers in the world such as GAM and in 2006 she rose to Head of Hedge Fund Clients for Rothschild, building the business into a $2bn entity with capital from institutional clients all over the world. 

Carol moved from London to Singapore in 2012 and left hedge funds to focus entirely on her start-up investment portfolio. She began advising her portfolio companies in Cyber Security, Strategy Consulting and EdTech (teaching Coding).
In 2017 Carol came to Lisbon for the first Web Summit and decided to make the move to Portugal. She currently resides in Cascais, where she set up a boutique gym called Flow Cascais. She has a passion for self- improvement and conscious leadership and she has expanded Flow to include bootcamps combining fitness with executive coaching, for clients from all over the world.
Actively engaged in supporting women in business, Carol was a founding member of the Singapore chapter of 100 Women in Finance and has been a mentor to women in business, as well as start-up founders of both genders, for a decade.
In order to further these goals, she co-founded Coach Multiplier in 2019; the technology supports coaching and mentoring programmes and allows coaches to reduce their admin burden and scale their business.
